A Shared Vision of the New Humanity
Humanity is approaching an evolutionary quantum leap.

In December 2003 and again in June and July 2004, I focused my vision on what the future will look like after we have evolved into a new form of human being. The images I foresaw looked extraordinary. I wrote about these images in "The Vision of Future News--To My Friends" (Future News, Home Page, left column, July 2004 Archive), and I referred to what I foresaw as "the new humanity on the New Earth."

Three months later, in October 2004, I met Carlos Barrios, a priest of the Maya, at a conference in Sedona, Arizona. When Carlos and I first spoke, I had not yet had the opportunity to describe to him my vision of our future, evolutionary leap, so I was surprised when he looked at me and suddenly, out of the blue, spoke my own words to me. What he said to me was, "The new humanity." He then nodded his head in a gesture of agreement, conveying to me that he knew that I knew. Since that first meeting, I have realized that Carlos Barrios, the Mayan Elders, whose message he brings to the world, and I are bound together by a common vision.

Carlos and I have been working to share this vision, and all that is associated with it, with others.

In July 2004, in "The Vision of Future News--To My Friends," I had written that I could foresee:

"a new humanity, brighter, open and lighter and living in harmony with new eyes to see the brilliant, yellow-gold light of the New Earth."

What I did not know while I was writing those words was that at about the same time, in 2004, Carlos Barrios was saying something similar. In Carlos' words from 2004, we will:

"create the new human race, the new humanity. I see a new light, I see a new world."
This is our shared vision. I believe the realization of this vision one day will bring the human race together in an organic, human community on the earth.

In the remainder of this chapter, I will quote segments from what Carlos Barrios and the Mayan Elders have had to say about the probability of continued destruction and also about the creation of the new humanity. I then will discuss my experience in 1991 at the Sioux Sundance, and the power of the Sundance to join people from all around the world in organic, human community. Finally, I will describe details, in a compilation of my own visions, about the "new humanity on the New Earth."
The Probability of Continued Destruction and The New Humanity: Carlos Barrios and the Message of the Maya

Carlos Barrios has been authorized by the Mayan Elders to take their messages and prophecies out into the world. He has been doing this for over 20 years. Only recently have people been paying attention.

In his 1999 book, El Libro del Destino, Carlos Barrios said:

"In this Epic time that we are living…there will be diseases we have not known, plagues, floods, earthquakes, droughts, hurricanes, and Mother Earth will grow hotter. And the saddest thing is that we see all of what is happening around us and we will be passive, doing nothing, because we are so involved with our daily lives and our material needs that we will take things for granted. Mother Earth…is saying that we have been irresponsible, causing contamination and not stopping the destruction. How you ask? We are accomplices for letting a few unscrupulous humans destroy hundreds of hectares of forest every day, factories that contaminate the atmosphere and for what? …If we do not stop what we are doing and change our attitude and be more conscious we can only wait and see what Mother Earth will unleash, as she will start correcting all the errors that we have done to her. And that is how the end of the cycle will commence, and that is how a part of humanity will disappear. But we still have time. …We must be more conscious before it is too late."

More recently, in 2004, Carlos Barrios appeared on a radio program, "The Wisdom of the Elders." (To listen to the complete program, click on http://www.prophecykeepers.com/barrios.html)

I have extracted some quotes (below) from Carlos Barrios' comments on that program. I think these quotes explain what Carlos and the Mayan Elders are saying about present conditions on the earth and our approaching evolution into the new humanity.

(Note: Carlos Barrios is a literate man whose native language is Spanish. Although he speaks English reasonably well, I have taken the liberty to add a word or phrase to his comments where I thought this would help clarify the meaning. In the quotes below, I have placed parentheses [ ] around any words or phrases I have added--B.T.)

In the section below, Carlos Barrios speaks about "the time of the prophecies," the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the significance of December 21, 2012.

"The Elders call this moment "the time of the prophecies" and at the same time they call it "the return of the wisdom people."
"We are living in very, very hard times, and we have the opportunity to grow, to develop, to transmute this energy of darkness or [to] destroy humanity."
"The 9/11 terrorist attacks…changed the energy of humanity. …We are beginning. If you could imagine a kid--if we can compare this energy to a kid who was born in 2001, it's going to take 13 years longer for him to grow. In the Mayan world, a kid, when he arrives at the 13th year, he is considered like an adult. He is beginning to change, he is beginning to have more harmony, but this [13-year] period is too dangerous. And 2006 is a very, very dangerous period. There will be earthquakes, inundations, hurricanes…because Mother earth is going to show us her power if we don't change our minds, if we don't work together."
"So [by using] this energy [that] we are talking about, we have the chance to change…to create the energy of harmony and to create the energy of balance. And maybe people [will] understand and grow."
"21 December 2012 is the cycle of 5,200 [years]. …We call each of these cycles 'the Sun.' …We are leaving the 4th Sun. …We have the access now to the five Suns. We have the opportunity now…to change all things."
Next, Carlos makes a reference to the destruction of civilizations in previous ages. He says these civilizations missed their opportunity "to change all things" when they arrived at a point in time similar to the point in time we now are approaching. He refers to these civilizations as "humanities."
"The past humanities…they have…they have arrived [at] this moment, but they lost their power. They can't pass with Mother Earth to the next level. These humanities were destroyed, and Mother Earth takes millions of years to reconstruct and to have a new human race…to return our humanity."
"But now we hope [we can pass with Mother Earth to the next level]. And this is very, very amazing and important. …There are now more people with consciousness…there are more people with the understanding…"
"…2012 doesn't mean this is the end of the world. This is the end of a cycle--of a kind of life we are living."
"The Elders say that in 2052 there is coming the real peace, the real wisdom to the people who survive."
Next, Carlos makes the same point that I have made in the Introduction and in Chapter One of this book. We can stop the destruction, and if we do so then all of us will survive and evolve. But if we don't stop the destruction, then only some of us will survive. According to the Mayan Elders, if the destruction happens, then maybe 25% of humanity will survive. This 25% will "create" the new humanity.

"We are destroying the Mother Earth, and if we don't stop this destruction, we don't have a chance to survive."
"…so when I talk about the destruction, when I talk about the war…the Elders are disappointed, because we hope that the people awaken, and the people understand we can…stop the destruction. This is the message of the Elders. Please return to being human. Return to the natural order. And please take action."
"…action meaning I am going to put in the heart peace and love, and I am going to have enough energy to take control."
"The Elders say the younger people are coming with more energy and with more consciousness because they are afraid we will destroy Mother Earth."
"We need to change our energy. …if we don't find out what can be [done] for the environment, our brothers the animals, the plants, the trees, we can expect nothing. So we need to find our own self, we need to have the peace, the love, the understanding, because it's just our illusions that are working. We are working like [we are] stupid all the time, running to go any place just to buy things and [this] looks like happiness. But the real happiness is [from] the free things in life."
"If we don't take care of the vegetation and all the natural environment, we can destroy millions of people. This is happening."
"But of course, it's going to be a portion of humanity, maybe 25%, who [are] going to survive. And [these] are the people [who] are going to create the new human race, the new humanity. So I see a new light, I see a new world, I see a new opportunity and I see we have the chance to do [it] together. Not necessary the destruction; just necessary the understanding, and it is coming."
"This is something [from] the prophecies: the return of the 'wisdom people'…. They say they are going to return on 21 December 2012. And some people are expecting their return like a…beam, but other people say it's just the energy that returns to help us to transform…for the people who survive if we don't stop the destruction."
"When I have spoken to the Elders, they are disappointed, but they hope we can do it."

The Mayan Elders are "disappointed" because they doubt that we will do enough in the time we have left to stop the destruction. Nevertheless, they hope we will find a way.

Creating Organic, Human Community: The Sioux SundanceIn 1991, Elders of the Sioux Nation extended an open invitation to Native Americans and non-Native Americans alike to attend the Sundance Ceremony in South Dakota. To experience the Sundance is to experience the annual renewal by the Sioux of organic, human community. In 1991, I shared the experience of this with hundreds of people from all over the world who felt drawn to participate in this sacred ceremony. For me, the bonding of so many diverse people in community, created by the spirit of the Sioux Sundance, exemplified what was possible for all of us everywhere on the planet.

The way to create organic, human community is a spiritual way, and it is available to all of us of all nations.

From my experience of the Sundance, I learned that there exists a spirit energy whose purpose is to guide the behavior of each of us as individuals and all of us as a human community. To access the guidance of this spirit energy, one first must have the discipline to become quiet and then the willingness to learn to listen.

The answers to our questions are there within each of us. All we need to do is become quiet and listen.

The Sioux Elders told us the power of the spirit of the Sundance was meant "for the good of all the people." They told us if we worked hard, the spirit of the Sundance would reward us, and the rewards we received would be related to how much spiritual work we put into the ceremony. During the four days of the Sundance, the days became hotter while the work became harder for those of us who chose to put our hearts and souls into it. We did the spiritual work necessary to quiet ourselves enough to listen to the wisdom within, and we made the effort to open ourselves to the spirit of the Sundance.

For our hard work and efforts we were rewarded at the end of the Sundance with the experience of a spontaneous "return to the natural order." As this experience unfolded around us, there emerged for me and for the many others who diligently did their spiritual work a simple joy among us; a sense of the presence of a benevolent, guiding force; a casual ease about caring for one another; and, accompanying all of this, the natural harmony of people from all around the planet joined in organic, human community.

If we recall for a moment what Carlos Barrios said (above) about the message of the Mayan Elders, their message tells us what we need to know in just a few, meaningful words.

"This is the message of the Elders. Please return to being human. Please return to the natural order."

If there is any question about how to do this, a ceremony such as the Sundance can point us in the right direction.

The Sundance and my experience there provide an example of the value placed on spirituality by a present-day culture deeply rooted in sacred traditions. Essential to this culture's traditional way of living is the emphasis it places on the power of spirituality to bring people together in organic, human community. The Sundance exemplifies how spiritual work done by each of us for the sake of all of us generates an innate, human response to "return to the natural order." The Sundance is rooted in a traditional understanding of the way in which human beings are meant to live on the earth. Therein lies a simple yet profound wisdom which technologically advanced cultures seem to have forgotten.

We have improved our creature comforts, prolonged our life spans and benefited in many other ways from technological innovations, and technological development must continue for us to evolve. But it is incumbent upon the cultures that have advanced technologically to remember the wisdom which shows us how human beings are meant to live on this earth, and to weave this wisdom back into our communities. Unless we yield to the guidance of this wisdom, our own technology will annihilate us.

The wisdom of the spirit lies within each of us. It is infused in our own human nature. By each of us freely choosing to behave according to the guidance of this wisdom, we can re-establish our organic ties to each other. Contained within this wisdom are all the rules for how we are supposed to live on the earth. This wisdom will go forward with us as we approach that point in time when we will receive the energy to turn the earth once again into a garden paradise.

As we move toward our evolution into the new humanity, it requires a process of learning as we go. We have the intelligence to learn, and we have the love to do it together. We will learn how to awaken.

It is in our own best interest to take the initiative consciously and freely to change ourselves before the change is thrust upon us. Perhaps a sufficient number of us can form a critical mass of people who are awakening to see the harm we are doing to ourselves and more importantly to recognize our potential "to change all things." This would be a first step in re-directing humanity away from its current collision course with total destruction and towards a merging with the energy of the spirit in the co-creation of an evolved form of human being.

If, as the Mayan Elders predict, 2006 will be "a very, very dangerous" year, then we are running out of time before the destruction becomes more severe.

The New Humanity: The Vision of Future News
As I foresee it, we human beings, the caretakers of this garden--earth--one day will take all the love, compassion and kindness in all the world, pull it together and hold it in one embrace. This is the remedy for the thousands of years of human hatred, violence, domination, war, famine, starvation, disease, loneliness--all human pain and suffering.

It is the love embrace by all for all that will create the proper environment in which a mutation, a biochemical reaction, will alter our physical makeup, open the spaces between the particles, atoms and molecules of our very cells and bring on the moment of evolution and human transformation. We then will awaken fully, look and discover we have transformed into the new humanity on the New Earth.

I have foreseen images portraying what will happen after the earth makes her upcoming transition. I have foreseen and felt people transformed into a new kind of human being. I have foreseen a New Earth, too, and filling my vision was a bright, yellow light that seemed to disperse out into the air itself. As I became more immersed in this vision, it appeared to me that human beings were breathing in the very light itself. It was--and this may be symbolic imagery or not--as if they did not need to breathe air anymore.

I thought about how fish "breathe" water through their gills. What if a primeval fish suddenly found itself flung ashore by a wave, only to discover that because of some recent and "random" evolutionary spark of a DNA mutation, it now had the capacity to breathe air and survive on land? Breathing air would have been as different an experience for that fish as breathing light might be for us, the new humanity living on the New Earth.

I marvel at what my visions are pointing out. As I track the unfolding possibilities of our future, my own perceptions of reality are shifting and dissolving. I am beginning only barely to comprehend what I foresee.

We human beings one day will find ourselves resting on the shore of a New Earth, carried there by the force of a wave emanating from a field of energy centered within our Milky Way galaxy?

A new energy is out there, and we are moving closer into alignment with it.

In a few years, we on the earth will be aligned fully with this field of energy. If, as I have sensed, this field of energy is emanating from the center of the Milky Way, then our full alignment with this field of energy will take place on December 21, 2012. This field of energy contains the waves of impulses needed to cause a mutation of life on earth almost unequaled in the history of the planet. The magnitude of this mutation will be similar to the magnitude of the mutation which allowed life to crawl out of the sea and onto the land.

To create the future form of human life--of all life--on the New Earth, a mutation will occur. In our new, human form, although our new, physical bodies will eventually wear out, we will not experience death, but rather transmutation. Our physical bodies will be illuminated with impulses of light energy, and in our new, human experience, we will straddle both the reality of the physical and the reality of the spirit. Mates will join into partnerships of oneness as male and female energies begin to find the way to merge. The light of clarity will constantly fill our minds and creativity will occupy our existence. Humans will have sprung upward on the evolutionary scale.

I feel and sense the "pull" on the human species toward transformation into lightness and floating beauty and translucent, physical forms of telepathic sight, sound, touch, taste and smell; this represents the future reality of a New Earth where dreams are dreamt into manifestation with the motion of the mind.

The images and information I have been gathering point to the evolution of a new humanity in which our perceptions will expand beyond the five senses; in which we will develop new physical eyes with which to "see." The images and information I have been gathering suggest that on the New Earth there will be no further need for what has been a seemingly endless earthly struggle for physical survival.

The evolutionary quantum leap I foresee will provide the opportunity for us to create a paradise on earth.

Evolution Means Change
It is natural and normal for us to dislike changes. We tend to make a fuss whenever we have to deal with any changes, but the changes that are coming to our earth will be huge ones, leading to the biggest global transition in human history.

Upcoming events will propel humanity and the very earth itself into a state of transformation and into higher consciousness. I have foreseen a new humanity, brighter, open and lighter and living in harmony with new eyes to see in the brilliant, yellow light of the New Earth.

Here and now, in these times, there is a choice for us to make. We can raise our consciousness and our understanding in a deliberate, planned and communal way and thereby literally co-create our selves into the new humanity. Or we can allow the events of a global destruction to force this transformation on us, in which case we soon will face trouble and peril and leave our evolutionary leap into the new humanity up to those who survive.

Our evolutionary leap is approaching. The decision on how we participate in our own evolution rests with each of us.

Matter and AntimatterThe universe around us always obeys the laws of mathematics, sometimes in ways that are both surprising and bizarre. An example of this is the mathematical discovery of antimatter in 1928 by the English mathematician and physicist, Paul Dirac.

At first, Dirac refused to believe the results of his own computations. His equation (known to this day as the Dirac equation) proved that antimatter had to exist, but as a scientist Dirac was concerned. He felt that if antimatter did exist, it would have been observed already in the laboratory. In 1928 Dirac published his findings, but he stopped short of proclaiming with complete certainty that antimatter existed. Four years later, in 1932, American physicist Carl Anderson observed actual, antimatter particles in a laboratory experiment, proving the accuracy of Dirac's equation.

"Dirac realized that the vacuum of space could be filled with negative-energy electrons"
"…when Dirac published his paper containing the electron equation…in 1928…he was on the verge of anticipating the existence of antimatter…."
"Dirac foresaw…the discovery of…a new kind of matter, namely 'antiparticles.' "

Dirac soon expanded on his understanding of the nature of antimatter.

"As Dirac soon realized, it makes no sense to say that only electrons have antimatter counterparts. The same mathematical reasoning applies to every sort of particle as well. All other particles discovered in later years have antiparticles, too. (If you count the occasional odd case of certain particles, such as the photon, whose antiparticle is exactly the same as itself.)

Dirac's discovery of antimatter may open to question some of our commonly held beliefs about what is real. But there's more.

We now know that the universe creates itself. Matter and antimatter particles are created from what physicists call vacuum energy (Siegfried, p. 173-174). We also know that these particles don't last very long. When they are in proximity to one another, matter and antimatter particles annihilate each other in less than a second.

"Because quantum physics allows it, particles can pop into existence out of thin space all the time. But they appear in pairs: a particle is always created with its antimatter counterpart."
"Soon after their appearance, the matter and antimatter particles bump into each other and disappear in a flash, returning the energy they had borrowed from the vacuum to fuel their ephemeral existence."(Siegfried, p. 116)

As quickly as they appear, matter and antimatter particles bump into each other and annihilate each other. Because of this, the material things in our universe--the galaxies, the stars, the planets and our own physical bodies--would not exist at all were it not for the literal explosion and subsequent expansion of our universe which occurred at the time of the Big Bang. This initial, rapid expansion of the universe widely separated the first matter and antimatter particles, preventing their mutual annihilation.

At the time of the Big Bang, our universe created its own material forms out of the vacuum energy of space, and it is from this material stuff--from the particles of matter that survived annihilation--that the galaxies and the stars and the planets and our physical bodies are made.**

We human beings have evolved out of the vacuum energy of space. This energy is the energy of creation which has formed each of us and is accessible to each of us.

In our universe, matter can change forms back and forth from matter to energy to matter to energy. Albert Einstein expressed this truth in his famous equation, E=mC2. (Energy = mass times the speed of light squared.) Surprisingly, particles of matter are, in reality, not solid objects but are instead unique configurations of energy. These particles of matter connect to each other to create larger objects, such as our physical bodies, which may appear solid but are, in reality, also configurations of energy.

Our senses are "trained" to perceive some of the configurations of energy around us, but not all. I have foreseen that we human beings one day will evolve into a new state of being in which we will have taught our eyes to see configurations of energy that seem invisible to us now. Significantly, we will learn how to see the configuration of light energy which accompanies the human body.

Correlated Behaviors
Back in the 1930s, Albert Einstein came up with one of his many, surprising, mathematical discoveries. He was looking into the behavior of particles of matter as governed by the laws of quantum mechanics. His discovery revealed the existence of a universal force that might account for our connection to one another and to all that exists.

"In 1935, through a disarmingly simple mathematical analysis, Einstein (with two colleagues)…proved that either quantum mechanics is an incomplete theory or, if it is complete, the universe is--in Einstein's words--'spooky.' Why spooky? Because the theory would allow widely separated particles to correlate their behaviors perfectly (somewhat as if two pairs of widely separated dice would always come up the same number when tossed at distant casinos)."
"Decades of painstaking experimentation have confirmed quantum theory's predictions beyond the slightest doubt. Moreover, in a shocking scientific twist, some of the more recent of these experiments have shown that Einstein's 'spooky' processes do in fact take place (particles many miles apart have been shown capable of correlating their behavior.)"
"It is a stunning finding, and one that reaffirms Einstein's uncanny ability to unearth features of nature so mind-boggling that even he couldn't accept what he found."(Brian Greene, "One Hundred Years of Uncertainty," The New York Times, April 8, 2005. What would cause particles, separated from each other by many miles, to dance this dance together, to behave identically to one another? There must be some kind of configuration of unseen energy which connects and guides the behaviors of these particles. Physicists refer to a configuration of unseen energy as a field.

"Basically you can think of a field as something sitting in space--inseparable from space--that affects the other things in space."(Siegfried, P. 176)

A gravitational field and a magnetic field are two commonly known examples of a field. A field is an unseen force, but nonetheless it is real.

The Force of The SpiritI suggest there is an unseen force in our universe, perhaps the same as, or related to, the creative force of the vacuum energy, with the potential to connect and guide the behaviors of not only particles of matter, but also people, while simultaneously allowing for separateness and individuality. Just as Einstein's particles were separate and individual, we experience ourselves as separate, individual beings. And just as Einstein's particles were capable of correlating their behaviors while separated from each other, I believe when we align ourselves with this force, we will be capable of correlating and "co-relating" our own behaviors while maintaining our individuality in the organic, human community on the earth. And when we align ourselves with this force, we will awaken our dormant ability to communicate telepathically with one another.

As all of us unveil our eyes, our minds and our hearts during this time of preparation for our human, evolutionary leap, we inevitably will become more conscious of the existence of this force. Another term for this force is spirit.

As we continue walking on our current, evolutionary path, we are in the process of learning, even now, how to align with this force to enable us one day to live in harmony with each other and with the earth and in accordance with the way we human beings are meant to live on this planet. This force may be that which links all of us in spirit to everything else that exists.

What We Think Is Real
Dirac's and Einstein's inquiries into quantum mechanics have challenged our conventional perception of reality. Their discoveries challenge us at least to ask if there are any limits to what is possible, and perhaps the only limits to what is possible are the limits we impose on our own imaginations.

"Today's technological wizardry (computers, M.R.I.'s, smart bombs) exists only because research in applied quantum physics has resulted in techniques for manipulating the motion of electrons--probabilities and all--through mazes of ultramicroscopic circuitry."
"So the next time you use your cellphone or laptop, pause for a moment. Recognize that even these commonplace devices rely on our greatest, yet most puzzling, scientific achievement and--as things stand now--tap into humankind's most supreme assault on the idea that reality is what we think it is."(Greene, The New York Times.)

The world of quantum mechanics consists of a haze of multiple realities and a multiplicity of possible futures. Our perception of reality, I think, must be open to change if we are to continue to evolve as conscious beings, and as we evolve we soon may discover we always have had the potential to change the reality in which we find ourselves.

The force of the spirit, I feel, consistently makes itself available to show us the way, to join us together and to correlate our behaviors in our human community on earth. Our survival as a species relies on our remembering how to align ourselves with this force. The memory of how to do this lies deep within each of us. The answers are there. The question for me is whether a sufficient number of us will discover these answers quickly enough to stop the destruction.

The predicted time of destruction already has begun, and I will discuss this further in Chapter Three. We need to find out how to stop the destruction before we destroy our planet and ourselves. The future can be changed provided we are not too late to change it?

**Note: particles of matter and antimatter also are created, even now, around black holes where conditions also are just right to prevent matter and antimatter from annihilating one another. New galaxies are forming around some of these black holes. (See Siegfried, p. 116. Crashing Probe Into Comet Means We're Playing Like Gods

I decided today to call Carlos Barrios (a priest of the Maya) to ask him what the Mayan Elders were saying about NASA's Deep Impact space probe crashing into the Comet Temple 1 at 1:52 a.m. (EDT) on July 4, 2005.

When I asked Carlos about this, he said, "We are beginning to play like the gods. We are destroying things in the universe. There will be a reaction to this. The start of this reaction was the bombs in London--the terrorist attack. This is a punishment for what we are doing. More of this is coming. More is coming."

Carlos added, "Please write about this. Please tell everybody. On July 18th they should make a fire ceremony or a prayer or a meditation. We have to try to create peace and balance in the world."

July 18, 2005 is a sacred day for the Maya. On that day the Mayan people will gather to make fire ceremonies and pray for peace and balance in the world. According to my understanding of the Mayan calendar, after July 18, 2005, the chance will be lost for humanity to prevent more destructive events from occurring.

We human beings are in trouble. The planet Earth and the human beings who live on it are nearing the end of a natural and predictable cycle. As the end approaches, the forces and stresses associated with these rapidly changing times are weakening our global economy, fracturing our social structures, rearranging our international alliances and cracking the very crust of the earth itself.

We are living in the midst of a transitional period, during which the old and the new are positioned at opposite poles, pulling on each other more and more intensely and becoming more and more opposed. We have entered into a time period during which there is the potential for so much destruction that it is almost beyond comprehension and belief. A period of great destruction is coming. This destruction will be created in part by a nuclear war, resulting from human shortsightedness, greed and the desire for power; and in part by the very earth herself, whose last resort for defense will be a show of inconceivable force and power.

We human beings continue to discover creative ways to keep our species on the road to self-destruction. We have become so good at this that we now have a way to burn ourselves and our earth to ashes. But we humans also have the intelligence and the resources needed to take a quantum leap to our next level of evolution, whereby we literally could access the individual life force within each of us and co-create with the universal life force behind all that exists. I have seen and felt that by each of us channeling the individual life force in alignment with the universe around us, we collectively could develop the capability to regain the earthly paradise we once lost. Knowledge of this paradise lies deep within us.

Living on the earth today, there probably are millions of people for whom these words will resonate, people who can and will hear the "call" I am putting out. The time has come.

Try as we may to destroy ourselves as a species, the earth as our mother, the giver of life, cannot allow us to continue to poison her. The earth by her nature must protect herself to continue to create and nurture life. I have seen that she will strike out to protect herself from destruction, and she will do so with a power and magnitude that none of us have experienced before. The earth will cleanse herself and thereby protect and heal herself through a prolonged sequence of overwhelmingly destructive natural disasters and cataclysms.

I believe that millions of us will survive through the upcoming nuclear war and the succession of continent-cracking earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and even comet debris raining down from the sky. During this time, the earth will recycle herself. I have seen that the earth will seem to turn inside out, shedding her old skin and transforming her surface. The molten magma will erupt to the surface and harden to re-shape the continents above, and the old, hardened crust will be thrust downward to melt into the molten magma below. This is a natural and cyclical regeneration process.

After she goes through this cycle of change, the earth's role for the future will be the same as it has been for millions of years--to allow life, including whatever may be left of human life, to regenerate, maintain itself and evolve. I have seen that those of us who do survive through these most dangerous of times will evolve into conscious beings of light. We will take the form of a new humanity and function with an understanding of how our spirit selves will "know" reality through our lighter and more spacious physical bodies.

To get us there, dormant genes within us will be turned on, sharpening the necessary instincts and heightening our awareness so we receive information through more than just our five physical senses. Even with this, surviving or not surviving may come down to a random process of just being in the right place at the right time; but with sharpened instincts and a heightened awareness, danger can possibly be anticipated and thereby avoided. Then the very experience gained from getting through a destructive event and thereafter surviving will act as the best teacher we could ask for.

Those of us who do survive through these upcoming destructive events will have learned, adapted and evolved.
We will then have new eyes to clearly see the past, the present, the future and one another.

While reading this book and the other books that will follow in this series, I recommend that the reader pay close attention. For a period of perhaps the next 20 years or so, humanity will experience a multitude of destructive events, increasing more in their power and in their scope as time goes on. What this book and the other books I will write will have to say is intended to prepare those who are "listening" to be ready for the destructive events that are coming--the wars, the natural disasters and the cataclysms.

The information presented in this series of books is intended to help us survive. Although we may not be able to prevent the upcoming disasters, I am writing this book and those that will follow to save as many lives as possible and to help us evolve out of this old world and into the new humanity on the New Earth.

I will work to use my gift of foresight--my vision--to give us the advanced notice we may want and need to warn us about the dangers I see coming. For those of us who do survive, I have seen a New Earth, embracing and sustaining us as newly evolved beings of conscious light.

On June 15, 2005, I wrote "Earthquake Will Shake Southern California," in which I said:

"I can 'smell' that some kind of gas or chemical will be released when this earthquake occurs."

"…This jeopardizes the integrity of some kind of commercial plant or facility. This may be symbolic of a power generating station that will fail, and an indication of power outages occurring in the area where the earthquake will be felt. Also, something is wrong with the air over this commercial plant or facility. Something dark is hanging over it. It looks like a fire will take place which will burn down this commercial plant or facility."

The next day, on June 16, 2005, the earthquake I predicted hit in Yucaipa, California. This earthquake was felt in the area where I predicted it would be felt, and the force of this earthquake was horizontal, which I also had predicted. (I discuss all of this in "Magnitude 4.9 Earthquake Shakes Southern California, Verifying Future News Prediction," Future News, Home Page, left column, June 2005 archive.) But there were no reports of the earthquake causing a "commercial plant or facility" to "burn down." I decided that my prediction about a commercial plant burning down either was all wrong, or else the fire I had predicted might possibly take place at later time, perhaps because of another earthquake.

A few days later, on June 24, 2005, reports suddenly appeared on the news about a series of propane gas tank explosions at an industrial plant owned by a company called Praxair Inc. This plant did catch fire and burn to the ground, and many of the specific details about this fire closely matched the details I had predicted.

However, there was one unusual and surprising discrepancy. Instead of this fire happening in Southern California as I had predicted, this fire took place in South St. Louis, Missouri. In the note at the end of this article, I discuss what may have caused this error.

Interestingly, with the exception of getting the location wrong, other details I had predicted about the plant fire matched very well with the news reports about what actually occurred. In foreseeing these details, my gift of foresight accurately predicted "future news." Here are several examples:

1.) I had predicted in "Earthquake Will Shake Southern California":

"I can 'smell' that some kind of gas or chemical will be released…. …Also, something is wrong with the air over this commercial plant or facility. Something dark is hanging over it."

Several news reports confirmed what I had foreseen.

Commenting during live coverage of the scene of the plant explosions, CNN's Wolf Blitzer reported (CNN,
Wolf Blitzer Reports, June 24, 2005):

"You can see the flames from the explosions with black smoke billowing into the air."

When Blitzer asked a reporter from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch who was on the scene if there were any dangerous fumes in the air from chemicals, the reporter answered:

"I smell something like rubber burning."

And in an article about the explosions, printed the next day in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, this was said:

"A series of explosions at a gas plant in South St. Louis sent hundreds of fireballs, burning debris and noxious fumes skyward…."

"By Friday night, a thick gray haze was all that was left of the explosions…."

"The Fire Department was monitoring the air for sulfur and other toxic fumes…."

"Most St. Louis residents [were] happy no one was hurt in the gas explosion that ignited about 9,000 pounds of propane."

An article in The New York Times detailed that there were different kinds of "gas" involved in the fire:

"Praxair, founded in 1907, manufactures and packages liquid and compressed gases…. The products include specialty gases for electronic chip production and acetylene, oxygen and propane. The St. Louis fire chief, Sherman George, said he was concerned about the liquid gases at the site, including propane."

"Kim Bacon, public information officer for the St. Louis Fire Department, said…it was 7 p.m. before the flammable and combustible gases consumed themselves…"

2.) I also had predicted in "Earthquake Will Shake Southern California:

"I see…smoke rising and emergency vehicles"

Again, according to Daphne Duret of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

"…the explosions caused a three-alarm blaze…"

"They raised unmanned high ladders with snorkels behind the buffer of nearby buildings. More than 70 firefighters manned 12 pumpers and two hook-and-ladder trucks with crews from four fire department ambulances."

3.) I also had predicted in "Earthquake Will Shake Southern California":

"It looks like a fire will take place which will burn down this commercial plant or facility."

Again from Daphne Duret's article:

"…the explosions caused a three-alarm blaze that burned the Praxair building to the ground."

4.) Finally, I also had predicted in "Earthquake Will Shake Southern California":

"This may be symbolic of a power generating station that will fail, and an indication of power outages in the area…."

According to Ellen Harris of The New York Times:

"Kim Bacon, public information officer for the St. Louis Fire Department, said… 'We still have a lot to
do. A lot of the area is without power. Some electric lines are down from flying debris and some were shut down intentionally.' "

Note: Two seemingly dissimilar events--an earthquake in Southern California and a plant explosion and fire in South St. Louis, Missouri--somehow had combined themselves in my mind's eye into one vision. For what reason did my vision connect the images from these two events? Because my vision is attuned to focusing on "future news" reports, a closer look at the news reports about the plant fire might be helpful.

On June 24, 2005, one of the first headlines I saw about the plant fire appeared on a Fox News Alert during live coverage of the explosions. The headline said,

"Explosion Rocks Industrial Plant in South St. Louis."

And another article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch had this to say:

"It was a neighborhood under siege Friday as fire shot angrily into the hazy sky and metal gas containers rained down like missiles on the houses and cars."

"Just a block away from the explosive fire, the Redbird Carriers building rattled like it had been hit by an earthquake."

After considering the circumstances of both the earthquake and the plant fire, I have figured out one possible explanation for why my vision made these two events seem like they were one. First, each event occurred in a location associated with the word south. The earthquake was in Southern California, and the explosions and fire were in South St. Louis. This may have played a small part in causing my vision to shift from one event to the other. But more importantly, the explosions in South St. Louis rocked the area and made the area feel, as stated in the above article, like it "had been hit by an earthquake." My vision seems somehow to have locked in on the earthquake-like rocking and rattling in South St. Louis and associated this with the shaking felt near the real earthquake in Southern California.

For the last couple of days I have had a feeling that some major event would happen this summer. I have not been able to pinpoint what that event might be, but something about it makes me feel uncomfortable and uneasy.

I decided I would call Carlos Barrios (a priest of the Maya) and compare what I have been feeling with what the Mayan Elders may have been saying lately.

When I explained what I was feeling to Carlos, he said, "Yes. It is happening in July. NASA is sending something to a comet. This is not good. It is not good to do this in the heavens."

After I spoke with Carlos, I checked to see what NASA was doing and found a press release from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, dated July 1, 2005, which contained the following information:

"NASA's Deep Impact Spacecraft continues to sail through its final checkout, as it hurtles toward comet Tempel 1. Impact with the comet is scheduled for 1:52 a.m. EDT, July 4."

"Deep Impact consists of a subcompact-car sized flyby spacecraft and an impactor, about the size of a washing machine."

"The 820-pound impactor will collide with the comet's nucleus at a closing speed of 37,000 kilometers per hour (23,000 miles per hour). Scientists expect the impact to create a large crater."

Although I take very seriously what Carlos Barrios and the other Mayan Elders have to say, I sense there is more to this uneasy feeling I have had. My focus is drawn very strongly to the Pacific Northwest and to possible activity from Mt. St. Helen's, Mount Ranier or both.
