A Nuclear War? When, Where and Why? Let's Look First at Relevant Comments and Predictions From Barbara Marx Hubbard, Futurist; Michael Drosnin, Author; and Carlos Barrios, Mayan Priest.


Barbara Marx Hubbard, Futurist:

Michael Drosnin, Reporter, formerly at The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, and author of Bible Code II: The Countdown:
"The Bible Code has always remained a puzzle to me. I am not religious and I do not believe in God, so I cannot even imagine how there could be a code in the Bible that reveals events that happened after the Bible was written. But I am certain that the Bible code is real. I have seen predictions in the code come true, time and again. I even warned a Prime Minister [Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin--B.T.] that the code said he would be assassinated, and then watched in horror when he was killed, as the code predicted."

Drosnin continues, "I'm convinced of two things:
(1) The Bible Code is real
(2) The world won't listen to its warnings until it's almost too late."

Drosnin later says, "The dangers will peak in the Hebrew year 5766 (2006 in the modern calendar), the year that is most clearly encoded with both 'World War' and 'Atomic Holocaust'."

"'World War', and 'Atomic Holocaust', and 'End of Days' are all encoded with 'in 5766', the Hebrew year equivalent to 2006."

"The Bible Code is not a prediction that we will all die in 2006. It is a warning that we might all die in 2006, if we do not change our future."

Carlos Barrios, Priest of the Mayan People:
The following quote is taken from the introduction of Carlos Barrios preceding his presentation at The Prophets Sedona Conference: The Great Rethinking, Sedona, AZ, October 14, 2004: "Carlos Barrios is a Guatemalan historian, anthropologist, and an investigator. After studying with the traditional Mayan Elders for 25 years since the age of 19, he became a ceremonial priest and spiritual guide of the Eagle Clan. Carlos tells us the Mayan message is that we are on the cusp of an era when peace begins, a time when people live in harmony with Mother Earth. We are no longer in the world of the fourth sun, but we are not yet in the world of the fifth sun. This is the in-between time, the time of transition. As we pass through this transition there is a colossal global convergence of social chaos, war and on-going earth changes leading to December 21, 2012."


What follows is taken from Carlos Barrios' presentation, in his own words:
"On December 21, 2012 we will begin to see the fifth sun. With this period will come harmony of space and time, with this period will come balance and a big relation to Mother Earth. [He probably means here, 'a close connection to Mother Earth'--B. T.] We need to create this space. But as it is now, we have lost control. We don't really have control of anything. The positive people, they are lost. We need to change the system soon. If you look at the prophecies of the [Mayan] Elders, we see every day earthquakes, inundations, hurricanes, movements, social movements, and the sicknesses, plagues and the holes in the Ozone. All of these things are what the Elders predicted 20 years ago."

"In essence the Elders are sending our blessings to all of you, and they are sending the words of the promise of the Mayan people to work hard to save this space."

"We need to change our hearts."

"And now the Elders say the year 2006 is very dangerous, and that it is going to happen in the period of March to November when humanity can come in a big war, in a destruction...in a very.... I can say the freak energy, because we can destroy ourselves."

"I can only say to you, please go and say to the humanity to take action and create action because that is the work we need to do.... We don't have time. We need to change and create the balance."

My Vision of World War III
If we do not change our future through collective action, then the start of World War III is inevitable.

The year 2006 is specified in both the Bible Code II and in the prophecies of the Mayan Elders as the year when it appears World War III fully breaks out. According to the Bible Code II, "World War", "Atomic Holocaust" and "End of Days" are all encoded "in 5766", the Hebrew year equivalent to 2006. According to the Mayan Elders, "a big war" in which "we can destroy ourselves" will start in March 2006 and continue until November 2006. It is important to note here that time is the most elusive of any factor for a psychic to predict. I appreciate the help with the prediction of time provided to me by Michael Drosnin's Bible Code II and by the Mayan Elders. These predictions serve as significant markers to help us know how much time we have to change our future, if we can, before it is too late; or otherwise to help us know how much time we have to prepare ourselves for a world war, if changing our future proves unachievable.

What I foresee is one possible future which will bring, in 2006, the deployment and use of nuclear weapons in the Middle East. I foresee that at least one nuclear weapon will be launched from Syria. The target of this missile will be somewhere within Israel. (Drosnin specifies in the Bible Code II that the target within Israel will be Jerusalem [Drosnin, pp. 200-1]. He does not mention that the missile will be launched from Syria. My vision "sees" Syria as the point of origin of a nuclear missile aimed at Israel--B.T.)

Armies from many Western and Middle Eastern nations will amass and confront each other, creating an unprecented international crisis.

At first, most of the fighting will be concentrated in the northern sections of Israel, near Israel's borders with Lebanon and Syria and soon thereafter on the Plain of Megiddo near Tel Aviv. Both sides ultimately will resort to using short-range nuclear weapons against each other's armed forces on the battlefield. Both sides also will launch long-range nuclear weapons aimed at the civilian populations inside the borders of many of the nations directly involved in this war. Nuclear fallout will drift outward from the Middle East. Fighting eventually will spread from the mountains to the deserts to the sea.

Tel Aviv will be hard-hit. I see what is either a tower-like structure in Tel Aviv and/or the superstructure of a naval vessel--such as an aircraft carrier or a battleship located in the Mediterranean Sea near Tel Aviv--going up in smoke.

I see a blockade (or a blockage of the waterway caused by a sabotaged, damaged vessel) which will close the Suez Canal to all commercial and military shipping. Fighting will ensue to re-open the Suez Canal.

I see that as these events progress, the boundaries of this war will extend from the east in a civil war within India, also sweeping through and involving Pakistan, and through the Islamic nations in the deserts of the Middle East; I see little fighting in most of Afghanistan and initially a cautious approach to doing any fighting near or within the borders of Iran, which will pose a menacing nuclear threat; also this war will be waged heavily within and around the borders of Israel and westward, breaking out in localized violence in some of the nations of North Africa, as well as in the Balkans and other European nations and also northward to the borders of Russia. Russia will be drawn into the fighting.

Iran seems to be the wild card. I see a darkness over the northern half of Iran, perhaps signifying political division in Iran's capital, Tehran, and/or social chaos. The prospects of what Iran can or might do with its real or perceived arsenal of weapons of mass destruction will become a major focal point of the world's fears and concerns during this time. Iran could hold the "hot button" that would trigger an escalation of the conflict, resulting in a nuclear holocaust in the Middle East. The fear will be whether Iran might be bluffing or not.

The developed countries of the world will at this point insist on a cease-fire. Because of the unimaginable and unique potential for a war of untold destruction, both sides will accept a cease-fire. For a period of time, this cease-fire will hold.

I sense, however, that this cease-fire will be broken by some event which I cannot yet decipher and can only vaguely "see." I feel "guided" in a very general way to conclude that suddenly and without warning World War III will start up again, expanding and escalating into a second phase when another nation enters into the conflict. For a reason or reasons as yet unknown to me, this other nation appears to be China.

Extrapolation of the Vision
It will be helpful to re-visit at a later date the reasons why China will enter into World War III. Meanwhile, I give you the following scenario, based on some "impressions" which I have been piecing together in my mind's eye for several years. I expect these "impressions" will continue to acquire more detail, sharpen and expand as time goes on.

When China enters the conflict, the U.S.A. will by then have over-committed too many of its troops to the fighting in the Middle East. This will leave the homeland of the United States weakly defended and vulnerable. China will choose its moment to engage U.S. forces directly in the Middle East, and China also will recruit and heavily supply North Korean military personnel to help do this fighting, with the intent of keeping U.S. troops tied up in a war in the Middle East. This strategy appears aimed at making the United States militarily vulnerable at home. (Please keep in mind that China currently has a population of about one billion people, and North Korea currently has in excess of one million people in its armed forces.)

At some strategically planned point in time, I sense and believe that the Chinese will supply the military equipment, hardware and weapons and the North Koreans will provide the armed invasion troops for an attack on the United States. This invasion will be launched with Chinese military aircraft initially using air to surface missiles and then later transporting paratroopers over the U.S. I feel this invasion will occur in the springtime or summer, when the moon will turn a dark, reddish/black color for three nights. (Note: some Native American prophecies, passed down by word of mouth, have predicted that the moon will turn a dark, reddish/black color for three nights. It is said this will happen during a time of great danger. I believe when this happens, we will know that the invasion of the United States has begun--B.T.) This will signal the start of the invasion. Remembering this fact will help many people to survive. This invasion will at first gain success and momentum from the air, but later, when ground forces are parachuted in, this invasion will be repelled on the ground by federalized U.S. National Guard forces and also by angry civilian mobs, especially mobs in American urban areas.

America will preserve itself as a nation after World War III, but the civilization and technology to which Americans have become accustomed will be thrown backwards by as much as 150 years. In a world that has changed the U.S. government will institute and install a New World Order through which the U.S. will exercise political, economic and social control over that which remains.
